Today
Today, it is ours.
Apologies for the blog silence – my mind has been a little occupied the last few weeks. As of today we are the very proud owners of this beautiful house. The next few weeks will be a flurry of painting, floor sanding, and moving. Hopefully I’ll have time to write some updates now & then.
High water

A few pictures of unusually high water level we had here in the weekend. There is usually about 3 metres of sand between the water and the grass, and the walkway at the little marina would normally be a metre or so above the water
85 moustaches

On saturday night I finished knitting moustaches for movember. Thanks to all who donated - I raised £170 and now have a delightful multi coloured moustache garland to g hang up for christmas (anyone who thinks that is religiously inappropriate can refer to popular portrayals of jesus and let me know whether he had facial hair or not)
Finally finished

On sunday I finally bound the enormous quilt. It had been in use for a couple of weeks anyway, so I’m pleased to have it finally complete.
It’s Movember!
I have joined in for Movember as a Mo-sista, and am pledging to knit one moustache for every £2 donated via my Movember profile page. If you’d like to help support Movember and raise funds for mens’ health, please visit my profile page and make a donation.
The more you give, the more of a challenge it will be!
Sad celeriac

I was excited to get some celeriac seedlings from a friend back in the spring, but they are rather disappointingly small. I wonder if I’m harvesting too early, if it wasn’t a good spot for them, or if they just haven’t been getting the right care?
Impromptu picnic

Out and about on saturday, we were very uninspired by the lunch options that were available. So we went to the supermarket and bought brie, salami, smoked salmon, and avocados, and had a luxury picnic in a little bit of forest on the edge of Kungsbacka. The autumn colours there are beautiful just now.
