We inherited an old wooden kitchen sofa when we moved here. It’s a wonderful thing – cute to look at and with lots of storage in the bottom – but it had no seat cushion so it wasn’t particularly fun to sit on. Linus picked up some foam from a place that makes boat cushions, and I bought a load of cheap fabric and some cushion inners from Ikea, and this is what we ended up with.
