It’s the longest day and has been an extraordinary mix of electrical storms and baking sunshine. In a dry moment I harvested a batch of garlic, around 1kg.  2 bulbs have gone straight into our new smokehouse which is on its maiden voyage.

I planted 3 different sorts last November. This was from a garden centre and the leaves had already wilted down so I figured it was a good day to harvest. The others were from the supermarket and are much bigger but don’t seem to be mature yet.
