Gunnebo Slott is a manor house built in 1796, and designed by Carl Wilhelm Carlberg, who was Göteborg’s city architect. It was built for John Hall, who was one of the richest men in Sweden at the time, and is set in a large country estate. It has a nice little cafe restaurant where you can enjoy meals made with organic ingredients grown in Gunnebo’s own kitchen gardens. When we visited, there wasn’t much in the kitchen gardens, so we’re planning a return visit in the spring or summer to admire the horticulture.
