Since getting back from holiday our house has been abuzz with visitors. Well, we’ve had two.
First Johan came for a visit from London, bringing flowers (in my favourite colour) and cakes (of my favourite kind). So we think he can come again. Anneli thinks so too.
Next came the intrepid Alida, fresh from her whistlestop tour of Europe. It was great having her around for the week, and Anneli enjoyed having someone extra in the house to play, sing and read English books with. We even managed to arrange a bit of snow before we sent her on her merry way to Denmark!
The weekend of Alida’s visit brought lovely clear winter weather, so we managed to do a couple of excursions. On Saturday we headed in to Göteborg for lunch at Gyllene Prag (mmm, fried cheese), a visit to the moose in Slottskogen, and a quick run around the Natural History Museum to see the blue whale and assorted other stuffed animals. On Sunday we went to Gunnebo Slott, for another delicious lunch (mmm, moose sandwich) and a very brief wander around the house and its extensive gardens.
